§ 3-1. General restrictions.

  • No person shall advertise any goods, wares or merchandise of any kind for sale by crying out the same on the streets or sidewalks of the town. No person shall advertise any goods, wares or merchandise, or any event of any kind, by crying out the same, or by using any megaphone, bell, horn or other noise-making device on any street or sidewalk; nor shall radios or loudspeakers be operated in such a manner as to project sound outside the confines of the building in which they may be located. Provided however, that the acts prohibited in this section may be permitted by special permission therefor from the town manager or chief of police.
